GQ Beast Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Gotta learn how to use it!! Earthing the Ariel???? Whats the go i want to mount mine on my ally roof rack????? Dunno can someone fill me in.
mk tank Posted May 10, 2012 Author Report Posted May 10, 2012 If you use a (GPI) Ground plan Independant antenna, you dont need to earth the roof Rack. On the new 80 channel radios, the first 40 channels are the same freqs as the old 40 channel rigs. But the radios are now operating in a 12.5 Khz channel plan compared to the old 25 Khz channel plan. This means that the radios are transmitting 1/2 the deviation (voice). Basically you dont get the same freq response - but uhf cb's are not design for high fildality music - speach will still be ok. The extra 40 channels are in between the old channels. GQ Beast 1
