Well spent today in the shed.

Removed intercooler, heat sheild, welded in egt bung for my gauge, fitted new ASE intercooler, wired fan in to a switch on the dash, and hooked everything up, and all seems to be working. Bonus for me. lol

Old and new

Now to go and clean up and pack away everything

Yours is a red truck Olly, so it would by default already go faster even without your new inter cooler... But having an inter cooler the size of a small house means you will now be able to tow me up the range!

Well just got back from a quick run, and I am impressed so far. EGT went to a max of 500 on a long hill climb. That was in 3rd gear doing 60. Rpm about 2700. It hit 500 just as I climbed over the top, then dropped back to 400 very quickly. Seems to have a bit more pulling power. Will have to load it up and see how it goes with camping gear in.

Never had EGT or boost gauge before, I am quessing it is normal for EGT to go up and down so much with throttle application

Nah not at all! Was $150 + a hole saw and I got it from total tools. It goes well mate. It is designed to be used in a drill press but my drill press is a bit small for it, so I dyna bolted it to the floor in the garage and just used an electric drill on it. Worked great and saved a heap of time.
