Redman2208 Posted November 13, 2012 Report Posted November 13, 2012 Hey mate was just wondering what the verdict on the 2.5 inch straight through exhuast is? Is it legal was thinking of it for my truck cheers mate nice rig
Fathom Posted November 13, 2012 Author Report Posted November 13, 2012 Hey mate was just wondering what the verdict on the 2.5 inch straight through exhuast is? Is it legal was thinking of it for my truck cheers mate nice rig Hi Redman. I am happy with it overall. To the best of my knowledge its legal. I tossed up the 3 inch and the 2.75 inch. I ended up deciding after some research the 2.5 or 2.75 would be better for the 3lt DI. I think the 2.75 inch sounds way better, and would probably be better again in terms of releasing exhaust gasses, I went 2.5 because I figured.. May be right.. may be wrong here.. If I had a drama with it, in a remote area.(say while touring - at the time of fitting it, we were heading to the Cape) It would be easy to source parts for a 2.5 rather than a 2.75 as very few places carry that as a standard size in stock.
Redman2208 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Hey mate thanks heaps for your reply I have been advised the same thing and looking at 2.5 to I will let you know how it goes Cheers
Redman2208 Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Hey mate just thought I would pop you a line and say glad I went the 2.5 inch straight through made a great difference the only other thing I wanted I know is what are the boost and egt levels you are getting? Reason I ask just put the guages In and wondering what is common cheers
Oldmate Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Fathom doesn't have gauges mate. Sent from an overpriced, overengineered, outdated gadget that can make phone calls, sometimes.

But true..... Here is another thing I have done recently.. Put on a rear awning so on wet days I can leave the back open and the fridge and drop down table stay dry.. Or on hot days stay cool.. I also added strip LED lighting to the awnings so I can light them up to cook etc Edited October 2, 2013 by Fathom
