Try some of that green tyre seal stuff from supercrap. I used it in my muddies as they all had slow leaks when I bought them (second hand). Fixed the problem and should stop punctures.

Turns out they had leaking beads. I tried fixing them but no good.. $20 at the local tyre place and its all good...

Ok, update..

I noticed a large mold spot on front floor..

And my new fan didnt turn up by the weekend.. So I ripped the interior out. :D

I'd load pics but the net is carp tonight..

Turns out I'm glad I did..

Many years ago.. 15 maybe.. Mice ate threw the gear lever boot. It looks like they have done a rough job and the seal was carp, and has allowed mud and water threw the seal and under the floor..

I pulled the middle out and again, glad I did.. The 2 rear hold down points have cracked the Floor.. So I'll weld the cracks up, ans while it's all out sound deaden the lot. See how the carpet pulls up, I might replace that to..

So the car is running now..

Old radiator went in for the time being. But New hoses, belts, thermostat and gaskets are fitted..

Just have to fit drag link then Off to be aligned..

Might have picked up a long range 75ltr sub tank, so will fit that when it comes..

So... I think I'm upfront...

Bit of an up date..

Its running... Bolted the old radiator in for the time being.

Hoses, thermostat and gaskets and belts have all been done.

Valve clearances will be done when the injectors get done.

Repaired the cracks found in the body, and should be ordering the dynomat next week..

Carpet has had a solid scrub and high pressure clean.. Very happy, will hit with a good carpet cleaner and then call it done.

Scored a LRA 75L sub tank for free. Will cost $65 delivery so happy there..

Running wire for the middle door speakers across under the front seats, drivers side is done, just need to make the hole for the speaker and fit out when it all goes together..

Got new Sony 6.5's for the front doors, but to deep to fit behind the original trim, so will either mod the trim or mount them down lower in the door..

Still to do.

Rear panhard rod

LRA tank when it arrives

Snorkle

Tyres

Tint

Interiour fit out

Roof console..

It keeps growing...

I sold mine.
The old girl anyway.
Been keeping it around and going to do it up for my son but he's not really interested especially since experiencing the turbo power of the new one.

I sold it not running and no rego and had a heap of people ring for it. 1st guy to come look Bought it on the spot and had a tow truck come and take it away within 2 hours.

Always sad to see an old vehicle go. That thing never gave me one bit of trouble and the only money I spent on it was tyres and rego.
I even got a Grand more for the thing than I paid for it.

The new one goes in for a new HD clutch on Monday. Getting the rear main done and new engine mounts as well.

I nearly also took a grinder to the 1/4 panels, but upon a second look the rust ain to bad. So I'm going to repair it, seal it all up and spray lanolin oil around to prevent any more rust..

Ill be going flexi flares and home made mud flaps. That way I'll minimize the dirt and crap build up in the wheel arches..

Next up and some new wings for the rear bumper..

So let's bat for the gq's..

Had a bit of quiet time on the old girl...

Not much done as such but have picked up a lra sub tank, so plan is to fit the before Christmas.

I have fitted 33's though..

Went maxis bravo 980's in a 33x10.5x15..

Not many do this size, but didn't want to go a 12.5 due to mostly doing highway k's and didn't need new rims

Anyway, it's a never ending list lol

Well after a 2 am start and 11am finish on friday I stripped the interior out to fit the keyless locking. Kit was a steel mate 4 door kit, and I ordered a second master for the passengers door, the 4th actuator will be fitted to the barn door.

So it was a good fit out. Fun sussing out the best location for the actuators, but the best spot was in the original location.

Ran wires threw loom covers etc and all wrapped in the door..

Was happy with the finish, and it actually works lol..

I also think I have found my window issue. The amp unit is fubar'd..

So it turns out that the bloody amp unit has been my issue the while dam time. I've removed it and all but the drivers window work. Ffs lol

So sourced a new unit from a mate for $50 so that's a lot better than $200

Soon will be Turbo LPG & Throttle body Fuel Injection (yes mine is a carby model) Have to fix the milling machine first to make the throttle body  :(

Hmh, planning to do some hell raising stuff or just fond of carrying 40+ kg dead weight in front of your fourby.

IMHO, I'd invest in touring capabilities or creature comforts.

Cheers

I think of it necessity as were planning more solo trips and exploring.

Slider side steps are also being built but probably after Christmas.

Also I have a lra sub tank. Just need to install it. Lol.

And fix rust. And finish windows and tint. And fit tower braces.

The list keeps growing

So had a productive weekend.

I finished (for now) my winch bar and installed.

It's made from 12mm plate on the sides with incorporated recovery points, 4mm guts and bash plate.

3mm check plate on the wings.

60mm wing tube and 50mm brace.

And is now home to the 11xp.

Enjoy
