TheFlyingBadger Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 this Spartan Auto Locker and some manual hubs too for good measure
Nutta Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 How much for the locker? And where from? Are they a good brand? Cheers
TheFlyingBadger Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 (edited) I bought it from Perth4x4"]http://www.perth4x4.com.au/ a few weeks ago. I can't remember exactly how much, it it was around the $500 mark. They are meant to be a lot stronger than the lokka auto-lockers, and a mate who helped me fit it (or did fit it ) has got a lokka one and he confirms that the springs/pins are much more robust in the spartan Edited May 25, 2012 by TheFlyingBadger
gottheshits Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 Finally replaced the infra red eye for my cruise control. It's only been broken for 10 months so not to bad.
admin Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Fixed switch on kaymar rear light. Put new negative battery terminal and earth lead on. Re crimped winch negative lead.
heyhey Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Looked at the wagon and ute, thought I really should be mucking around with them, then back to the computer for uni work BigGQWesty 1
Big gu Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Sorted out a mechanical pump injectors and other parts needed to convert it back to a mechanical system not electrical Also picked up from mate a big hd natrad radiator for the big girl too
dronus4x4 Posted May 27, 2012 Author Report Posted May 27, 2012 Emptied it after getting back from 3 days driving around the flinders. Had an awesome time. Only minor damage to the rear bar.. have to fix that one day.. Now to plan the new rear draws, got a few ideas..... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
GPSTI Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Removed the remnants of the hinge cover Nissan wants $219 prepaid and it's 3 weeks to get it from Japan. So, the hunt is on.

GPSTI Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 The hungry Nissan Parts man has been defied $35 is a lot better than $219, even if it was black. One coat of paint applied, second coat tomorrow and a week to harden, a light polish and she'll be whole again. The Holt's Polar white is a little less creamy than the real deal, but won't really be noticeable between the black spare and red/amber taillight plastic.
The Big Rig Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Took my aldi winch off rotated gearbox than couldn't get it back on I have to try tomorrow when I get more patient and fixed my spotlight from rubbing on the bullbar
dronus4x4 Posted May 29, 2012 Author Report Posted May 29, 2012 Took my aldi winch off rotated gearbox than couldn't get it back on I have to try tomorrow when I get more patient and fixed my spotlight from rubbing on the bullbar I need to do this on my tigerz. I used it last weekend and getting to the handle could be easier if it wasn't pointing towards the engine! What did u have probs with? Lining something up? Interested to hear how you go. Duramaxed Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Bolted my rebuilt winch back in. And gunna spool on the cable tonite. Tomorrow pick up a xtra heavy duty swaybar and bolt that fella on once the disconnects show up.
Rumcajs Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Finally plugged in the ECUtalk box. Anyone knows how to get more/different sensors to display and wtf is "ICV percentage" for? Cheers

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Turning the gearbox was easy as I just couldn't align the bolts upto the bullbar and hold the winch in place at the same time
dronus4x4 Posted May 31, 2012 Author Report Posted May 31, 2012 Took roof rack off and draws out of the back as I don't have any big trips planned for a while. With all the crap out of the back the car looks like it sits 1-2" higher.. all the gear must weigh a bit! Can put the dogs in the boot now, my rear seats can get a clean! Still got half the flinders in/on the car.. might treat it to a wash and polish this weekend if I can get motivated. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

The Big Rig Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 If you go to YouTube there's a video showing how to do it on a tigerz winch
The Big Rig Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 Just was thinking I don't know if its possible but. undo the gearbox mounts and see if it will slide off while leaving the motor side attached to the bar
dronus4x4 Posted June 2, 2012 Author Report Posted June 2, 2012 All done. Was pretty easy in the end. Whacked some more htb grease in there while I was at it, and tightened everything up.. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
admin Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 Fitted Anderson plug to rear kaymar bar. Used 6B&S wire and got under the troll to cable tie it along the chassis. I protected the wire with that bendy curly stuff that has a slit in it and it slides over the wire.
