Finally pulled my finger.....and fitted second Dawes and 2 stage solenoid.

Hooray now I have ability to bring my EGTs ridiculously high at will or thats what I observed so far.

Looks like fine tuning is in order, I left second Dawes set at 7 psi just to see what is going to happen if left like that.

Cheers

Fitted boost/egt gauges, rear view camera to the ute and Cleaned the I/c, looked at the throttle body and said stuff it, it can stay dirty. I also fixed a loose wire on the wagon spottie. Off to get a 2 3/4 inch zorst tomorrow

I will post a pic of my egt when I get one in daylight. Had the 2.5 in zorst fitted today with no muffler, finishing at the back of the cab. I love it. I have knocked 2lph off of my fuel consumption and it sounds like a semi.

Pulled my tow bar out with the winch on the wagon ( must have been in there for a while). Played with the gauges now that they both work and drove the wheels off of it.

Photo of egt gauge??

I put a pic up in the Bogmeisters new Troll thread, Jus for you lol.

Painted and fitted my ugly duckling scoop and put a can of 3 bond manifold cleaner down the throttle body. Dont seem no different tho :(. Dunno if I really expected anything to happen. Just thought something might

Fitted an air scoop type thing to direct airflow over the front of my canopy, blocked the egr and watched the boost spike to 25+psi then disconected the battery to reset the ecu. If that doesn't fix the boost I will have to adjust the vnt screw

Went down the commando (coffs) chicken track in reverse. No fn way was I going up the real track in my rig... Panel damage and embarrassment would have resulted.

I did damage drivers side front wheel arch flare. :-(

Started the bloody thing after 7 weeks overseas, not without hiccups though; flat battery, looks like I need the new one......

Feels very strange driving Trol after such time especially when only driving small hatchbacks overseas. Had to think on which side of the road I needed to be too. Oh well back to work today.

Cheers

Cheers, all is good, thanks for the great service.

On another note, I'm charging my aux battery as it seems unable to run a fridge for no longer than couple of hours. Its only 6 months old (the battery) so I'm hoping its just that, flat. Kinda annoying being on third aux battery and still on OEM Nissan unit.

Did a clean out, moved the phone antenna, found that my dump pipe was about to fall off due to poxy exhaust fitters that wont use lock nuts, ordered my ARE i/c for the CRD, chopped lumps out of my heat shield and will wash it when it cools down (maybe)

Fitted my ARE inter cooler (and put the sticker on my EvaKool) That I ordered YESTERDAY morning, trimmed the plastic engine cover and rubber seal.It arrived before 9am. Kudos to Aussie Post. Noticed a 50 to 100c drop in egt.
Wound the boost up a little and went to a higher tune.........Cos I can
Wound the VNT back a third of a turn again, to try and stop the "boost bounce" at the top of the boost curve. Cleaned out the hoses of the remaining oil from when the EGR went through the inlet.
Checked the brake pads and had a beer it

Finally decide that it is a time to replace the OEM battery. When voltmeter on ECUTalk goes down to 6 Volts during cranking and it just makes it in this weather (20° in the morning) it is time. So $120 bucks later a new N70ZZL MF is in, surprisingly the original cooling shield also fits but the battery is slightly taller so only just being able to get craddle bracket/tie down to fit.

Hopefully this one is going last like the OEM unit, somehow I don't think so.......Has anyone else noticed that after the original battery in wristwatches expires after 5-7 years the replacment one fails just after 12 months.

Happy cranking time.....

Cheers
