Fixed my boost leak at the EGR pipe with a second plate (the pipe seems to have warped). Made my catch can "Atmospheric venting", I was still getting oil in the intercooler. Cleaned my I/c and hoses out. Had another fiddle with the dawes/needle valve. I now get 300 degrees at 5psi boost @ 100kmh. I'm happy. Also ran the wires to my drivers side tail and reverse lights. Haloooo Christmas tree

Got most of the wiring done into the cab for boost and pyro gauges. Power cables for my brake controller. Now just to run the power cable from the rear to the battery and the brake wire into the cab than I can join it all up

I got someone to do it cause I didnt want to fight with heat shield. Blocked the egr at both ends as mine was cracked I'll put the photos up of the cracked egr pipe :-( was not impressed now I know why I may have heavy fuel consumption lately

Replaced crank battery, replaced auxiliary battery with some deep cycle glass thingy....

I broke an upper tail light up at the Glasshouse a couple of weeks ago... So replaced both with working lights.

Finally decided to swap reverse lights (utterly useless) for indicators (more useful, so the idiots who tailgate can see) and install new truck sourced LED reverse light in rear bumper. Pity mine has a cut out for spare wheel in the bumper, it'd be good to fit second one on that side. Run the harness out on RHS rear gromment (wanted to avoid exhaust pipe) it turned out rather well lit.

Replaced set of intercooler hose clamps for decent one (unlike the cheap ass Nissan attempt).

Cheers

Not really what I do on my partol but I put my hands down on 2008 CRD patrol with 57,000kms on the clock for $32000, it comes with full service history logbooks, bonnet protector, alloy bullbar, IEP or something spotlight, towbar, reverse sensor, brand new tyres and one owner!! Finally took the old girl for spin today for the first time in 6 weeks!!

Seriuosly I don't know what to do with my GU3 either give it to the missus or sell it!!

Cheers

Drove 1080km, mostly with a 600mm x1200mm sign standing up on the roof. I used both tanks and had to drop a jerry can in 80km from home. I think that averages about 12.5l per 100km. I'm happy. Oh yeah, i poked around in the fuel tank when I got home and bent my breather up a little to fit some more fuel in. I cant remember where I saw how to do it but thanks to the poster for the info

Decided that it was finally a time to purchase a battery charger after borrowing one for years from a mate ......

So got me self this you beaut Redarc unit (pricey, I didn't pay full price) but awesome as it can correctly charge all types of vehicle batteries be it standards lead acid, calcium lead acid, or gel types.

Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to save Trol's genuine battery as it is now 7 years old and can't hold the charge anymore......so charged it once again before going on a quick trip this weekend (i'm gonna pack the jumper cables just in case) and than gota decide what to replace it with.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Looks good mate. There is a guy on grand junction road at the port Adelaide end who does great deals on sealed batteries. 7 years is pretty good but yeah its time for it to go!
