twisty Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 What is the top diameter?? 3", that's a guess. I'll measure and confirm. I'd be interested to see how much of an airflow drop these cause. The bends and diameter of the pipe would definately be a restriction even at and probably moreso at speed. And I intend turning the inlet to face backwards. The design is similar to the name brands I've seen and so would have similar restrictions I suspect. The custom (stainless steel, pvc) snorkels I've seen also have two right angle sections to allow connection as well. I don't see airflow being an issue for me (unless I go turbo), but, I've been wrong before.
setsujoku Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Well i just bought one of these for my 3.0l so will give an update when i install, apparently they do fit. Cheers How did the install go in the end? Am keen to get one of these but am unsure how hard they actually would be to fit?
Nutta Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 Its still sitting in the bloody shed, I'll try and get off my arse this weekend and install it, cheers.
Nutta Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 If it rains all day tomorrow I might try and get mine installed. If I do I'll snap some pics, not of the farkups though!
