  1. Maybe get some zips installed down either side of the front flap. So you can fix it down during the night. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

  5. Hi mate. I've heard some good things with the $600 jobbies on eBay. The turbo is a basic bush setup, but you can't go wrong imo. Comes manifold, oil lines, turbo, the lot.. 9. Welcome mate and glad to be a help. The company I got these from also do the split/ sliding options but use an alloy frame so they'll last for ever. A bit more expensive than the fixed ones but if you want to open them for access then a great option Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

  13. Well I've just bought a 7" tablet for the road, and remembered this thread.. I also have no 2nd din point due to the stereo and UHF filling those spots, but I do have a ciggi try with no smokers to use it.. So I'm going to try mount it there using the timber block idea. Either that or make a clamp or plate mount coming from the Jesus bar. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
  14. Well bad news.. It's returned.. Very slight when going threw drains and speed bumps.. Will jump under it and check tension again and let you know.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

  19. Today was a productive day.. Installed some sound deadener (poly quilt filling) in the rear doors.. This enhances the bass to nearly sub quality, and eliminates the sound heard outside.. Then ran my wire to the rear for my work light, and installed a fuse box for the fridge, spotties and work light.. Nice and clean now Just a single positive wire to the fuse box, which runs a buzz bar threw the middle and the out either side.. Very neat and good for 50A continuous.. 20. Fixed the clunk coming from front axil, removed front sway bar.. Then went out and flexed up the new setup.. With rear engaged. And factory rear disconnected. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
  21. Well for the last year I’ve had a clunk coming from the front end of the GQ and I have got under there a couple of times but have not been able to pick the issue. The clunk only happened when the left wheel compressed. So I checked radius arms, springs, shocks, sway bar, the lot. Nothing. Well in the last few weeks it has been really bad and with the old man down I jumped underneath and got him to jump on the bull bar while I inspect it. I’m the first jump I picked the issue. The bolt holding the rear radius bush on the diff was slopping up and down. And about 2 mm's as well. Bummer. So I assume the worst, its flogged the mounting plate out. So today I start to pull the bolt out, it was loose as, so a ratchet and shifter was all I needed. Well there is a little wear in the diff mounting plate, but most of it was in the thread which had completely rounded off. TFFT is all I could say. I popped down to Blackwoods, grabbed a new M16x1.5 pitch (metric fine) by 80mm long in 8.8 grade and I was on my way home for $3... Now before I bolted it back up I checked how bad the hole was.. It was 16.5x17mm.. .5mm elongated so in my eyes pretty good. If it happens again I’ll be welding some washers to the plate either side to get a nice snug fitting hole again.. So it’s all back together again and no clunk.. I also went of the other bolts in the front end and all were tight. So wether this one was missed after the lift install and castor correction bushes fitted I’m not sure.. I will be rechecking in a couple of week’s time.. So if you have any sort of clunking noise check it out.. It could have been a lot worse for me...
  22. One week down.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
  23. I get the same thing.. I have been told that the aftermarket castor correction bushes are slightly thinner than the Nissan ones. Mine has had the clunk ever since fitting the OME correction bushes. So I intend on greasing the lot, and trying. It only clunks when RH compresses.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
  24. Is it your sway bar clunking on the radius arms? Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
  25. Popped the hood. Ran some subi top end cleaner threw it.. Closed hood.. And noticed both rear tyres have slow leaks.. just add that to the list... Hopefully will be removing front sway bar to.. Will report on drivability after.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
