lift kit information
BigGQWesty replied to Shorty1989's topic in Nissan Patrol GQ/Y60 & Ford Maverick (GQ Patrol, 1988–1997)
What angles are the diffs on to tail shaft and tail shaft to gearbox. You've done the gearbox drop but it may need more. But check you uni joints first. They may have been on last legs and the lift is now making the work.. Also check gearbox and engine mounts. The different angles may be exposing stuffed mounts.. The problem with OME is they don't do 3" lift kit. Anyway it is possible that your setup has come with sports shocks. Harsh ride ensues. You can get so called comfort shocks and the ride is softer and more comfortable. For some reason the ARB sales idiots are pushing everyone on to sports shocks instead of explaining to customers that there is an option for softer ride without compromising on anything else. Cheers The shocks are shot and still stiff.. I'm going for a quick drive once together once running again shock free and see how I go.. Didn't realise they didn't do a 3 though.. Many suggest contacting suspension stuff. There based in QLD I think, but do post.. Heard nothing but good things threw them.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories -

Stick to brand names imo. You do pay for what you get.. Im running old man emu kit and its good. Went a bit over kill with sprung rates, so will probably swap back to a softer setup and airbags in the rear.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories -

How are your tyre diameters? Even though you have all the same size, the actual rolling diameter differs brand to brand. So yes, you auto hubs could be disengaging, but this would easily be fixed by changing the auto hub to the locked position.. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2

I use mine for a bit more light overhead as my draw system has the prep and a pull out table And it aids the strip light. But also throws a great light when reversing. Got the switch on the center console.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

First up I have no idea. You may find if you remove one item, say the electronic throttle you may f up the computer and have it throw codes and limp mode.. then again it might not... Secondly, why? Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

Rear quarter chop
BigGQWesty replied to Shorty1989's topic in Nissan Patrol GQ/Y60 & Ford Maverick (GQ Patrol, 1988–1997)
Not if sealed properly. Most rust is in the bottom of the 1/4 where mud and crap sits. So by doing the chop your removing it all anyway.. A good coating of lanolin oil inside once done will help prevent future rust to.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
