Yeah it does the job. I think you can buy better for cheaper now.. But all in all we are happy with it. I only ever take it if going away for more than a couple of nights, otherwise I take the touring tent.. Mainly cause I am too lazy to set everything up in the camper for short trips.

Its a Swag Camper Trailer. It seems to suit us OK, large enough to fit us... 2 adults and 2 reasonable sized dogs when we go away. It came with an 80 litre water tank and hand pump, I added a battery box and solar panels, so I could run lights/fridge and an electric water pump. I put an extra tap up front which has been handy for cleaning off larger items etc. The other thing I changed since that bottom pic, is I put a larger Jockey wheel on to make it easier to move around on grass/sand etc. One of the reasons we bought it, was its ability to "expand" basically we can add unlimited annexes on at the front till we get bored with poles... (Kids still lived at home when we first bought it so we wanted lots of space) and now after having it a few years, we have never added past the second awning, mostly when away only the first. One of those things that are good in theory lol...

Just looked at some of the pics again.. I want to go back and do it again!

Lol you are right about that! She saw me looking at a website yesterday for a company that sells clutch kits.. I cant repeat what she said to me without risking breaking profanity rules! NB: You may have to fight your daughter to get my truck... Although if the wife kills me, I would prefer you have it than her... I dont want it painted pink! I would turn in my grave!

So.. I think my clutch is on its last legs.. Very high on the pedal. And it may be my imagination, but I think I have felt it slip a couple of times. Only by a hundred or so RPM... I think.. It seems lower on the pedal when in high or low range, dont understand that.. but true.. Thus.. What is the best course of action? Stay dual mass? Go solid mass conversion? Anyone have any thoughts on the best/best value brands? Any input would be appreciated.

WOW CHEAP GQ
Fathom replied to GQ Beast's topic in Nissan Patrol GQ/Y60 & Ford Maverick (GQ Patrol, 1988–1997)
Maybe .. He just has a "different" motivation? Sometimes we sell things cause we have been told too... For instance, I have a Jet ski in the back shed, that I hardly ride, (use to ride a lot)... The wife is rather insistant that it should go. I like it.. I may want to ride it again.. I once spent a lot of money on it, and it has some great memories. So as an obedient Husband, I did advertise it once, and no doubt will be made to again.. The only problem was ... I was unwilling to move on the $3mill asking price... :D -
I am pretty sure Gizmo got a few pics.. I never remember to take pics... slack I am..

What did you do to your GU today?
Fathom replied to dronus4x4's topic in Nissan Patrol GU/Y61 (GU Patrol, 1999–2016)
At least you bent them with style ... And you didnt do things by halves.. -
I am unsure why the locksmith cant do it.. I needed to replace my spare set about a year ago.. One of the locksmiths in a Westfield Shopping centre did it... Unfortunately I dont remember which one, just that it was way cheaper than Nisssan quoted me... Still overpriced but cheaper. So I suppose there will be locksmiths around that will do it.

MAF Sensor Maintenance - GU Patrol
Fathom replied to Fathom's topic in Nissan Patrol GU/Y61 (GU Patrol, 1999–2016)
Cheers for the input. Mine is not playing up. More trying to decide if its a good preventitive measure. It looks like, from the response, I need do no more than I am.. Which works for me -
I have read that the MAF sensor should be changed periodically... How often? How can you tell if its ready to change? I clean mine probably every 5 - 10,000ks, or more if I have done a long dusty trip.. Ie: Say Cape York. But have never changed it. And I cant remember the mechanic ever specifically mentioning it when I get it serviced.

:D I will be there :D

Hiya All Northside of Brisbane here.. Downtown Morayfield. Nice and close to the Glasshouse and Bribie

Yeah I pretty much leave the shelf in all the time now that we are kidless.. Its easier for the dogs to get in and out of and gives them more room in the back. Also... I am too lazy to keep swapping the seats/shelf over all the time... A picture will not really do any justice of the rear camping/reverse light... It just looks from the outside like a factory rear light, I just incorporated into them some HID bulbs on a 3 way switch that I can operate from the cab. (on/Off/On when in reverse) So I can use them as camp lights or floodlights when trying to reverse in the bush. I did it cause I didnt want the pole that sits off the tyre carrier. Otherwise I have just put LED lights in all the internal light sockets, and a LED light to hang over the fridge when camping.

Here is a pic of the rear water tank and shelf, as well as one taken just after I fitted my new winch.
