  1. Yup I changed mine to SMF too. Have had no complaints.
  2. If not a mount somewhere. You could check your castor bushes. Also although probably checked when you got an alignment. Check your tie rod ends. If you are running muddies.. I am told they can be a mongrel to balance... Maybe not done well?
  3. Or closer to the truth.. You were, while I passed tools.. Most of the time the correct one...
  4. Last weekend... Fitted the rear awning, wired up and fitted some LED strip lights for both awnings, fitted the rear door opener/extension and pulled apart my brake caliper pistons and tidied them up.
  5. Hi Redman.. Can't help you there sorry. One day I will have a friend who can fit them.. And a wife that won't beat me to death if I buy them. Maybe ask the question in the GU Patrol section.. Get a few answers?
  6. No need to brag.
  7. Or I just don't need anything pneumatic to help me.
  8. No worries.
  9. Dunno if you should be discussing having a bonking bar in your camper? What happens on tour stays on tour....
  10. Hi Redman. I am happy with it overall. To the best of my knowledge its legal. I tossed up the 3 inch and the 2.75 inch. I ended up deciding after some research the 2.5 or 2.75 would be better for the 3lt DI. I think the 2.75 inch sounds way better, and would probably be better again in terms of releasing exhaust gasses, I went 2.5 because I figured.. May be right.. may be wrong here.. If I had a drama with it, in a remote area.(say while touring - at the time of fitting it, we were heading to the Cape) It would be easy to source parts for a 2.5 rather than a 2.75 as very few places carry that as a standard size in stock.
  11. He would just be bragging anway if it was bouncing....
  12. Seeing as how I watched him swinging off the side of it this weekend while simultaneously drinking a beer and a port.. My guess would be its strong enough..
  13. Now I wish I was doing something productive
  14. See if you can guess my reply... That way I don't have to get any black marks against my name on this forum!! Hahaha Ps.. Even if you were right.... I would disagree on principal!! Seems to be a theme!
  15. I have had two mates lose a wheel on their trucks and seen it twice, once in Fraser some guy who only bought his truck two days before he left for Fraser lost his LHR he was not a happy camper... And another on the side of the road just after the teerwah barge... One day I am going to get rid of the factory alloys..
  16. Looks good. Gratz on your new truck
  17. Gratz!!!!
  18. Yeah I just did as you suggested and they fit fine.. Basically in the factory position
  19. Added some lights and power outlets
  20. This is what i use for quick trips etc. It has had a hard life, been everywhere and survived so far. One of the best things is, I normally put mine up, make a coffee and have time to relax while I watch mates put up their uber fast quick set up tents.. Also fits easily into the back of the truck.. I think it packs smaller than most touring tents. I dont use the centre pole option, but rather the side poles. Slows the set up down a bit, but more convenient in regard to internal space. Also, the poles seem strong and sturdy. I was against these tents for years.. now when this one dies.. unless something wizz bang comes out... I will just get another one. NB.. If the tent manafacturer sees this post... I am happy to take commission on any and all sales originating from this reccommendation...
  21. Looking forward to a few firsts mate.. the first beer you bring me from your new camper... the first coffee you make me from your wizz bang kitchen... the help you give me setting up my camper after you finish your set up in 3.5 seconds.. I was thinking about upgrading mine too, but no need to now I know you will have lots of free time to help a mate set up their poverty pack camper. :P :D
